About GalaxyPlace, Inc.
In 1992, Scott Welch founder of GalaxyPlace, put together his first pc - a simple 386 running DOS and Windows 3.1. That experience built the foundation for a long-term passion of fixing computers, from trying different parts, reloading, reformatting and experimenting.
Scott’s career has taken him from working as a technician for a local ISP, to UVM’s depot repair department, to Fletcher Allen as a service tech, and to Dynapower Corporation in South Burlington, VT as a Network Administrator.
In 2000, Scott launched GalaxyPlace and began to offer web hosting and website development on a commercial level while working as a contractor throughout VT and NH to round out his business. Direct computer repair through GalaxyPlace is a more recent addition to the service line taking him back to his roots of servicing networks and computers.
In 2010, GalaxyPlace has expanded to our new office in Fairlee, VT next to Subway, across from the Post Office. We have also added service and developement staff.
Now, knowing where Scott and his business have come from, let's talk about how we can help with your computer, networking and website needs.
